The property’s idyllic setting, combined with its accessibility and proximity to the historic market town of Ashbourne, makes Ednaston a desirable place to live for those seeking a balance of rural charm and modern convenience.

Owner's perspective - "Living in a barn style property had been something we wanted to do even before bucket lists had been invented; when we viewed Brick Barn we were bowled over by the building which was formerly the workshop, office and archive to a farm and livery.
We have found Brick Barn effortless to live in; modern finishes and appliances sit easily within the exposed wooden structure of the property complete with original carpenters' marks. Working from home was never a challenge and visitors are accommodated comfortably.
As first owners after a major renovation we had little to do inside so put our time and efforts into rejuvenating the badly overgrown small woodland and we now have flowering plants and grasses throughout the year. We have also seen, photographed and learned so much about the many species of birds and mammals that visit the wood and our feeders.
The location provides easy access to Ashbourne and Derby. Walkers and cyclists are within easy reach of the Dales and Peak Districts, and the local reservoir, Carsington provides wildlife sailing and fishing opportunities. The rail and motorway network and airports are accessible if travelling further. Other property styles are also on our bucket list and we are excited to find our next home."
