The land is situated on the Old London Road south of Barnby Moor and the straight mile main road leading from the A1 into Retford. The site is located at the southern end of the existing gardens to Green Mile House in a very accessible location 2 ½ miles from the A1 which provides access to the A1(M), M18 and the M1. The market town of Retford is 2 miles west of the site. Retford is a market town in the Bassetlaw District in Nottinghamshire. It lies on the River Idle and the Chesterfield Canal. Retford has a population of approx. 24,000 people and is located 26 miles (42 km) east of Sheffield, 23 miles (37 km) west of Lincoln and 31 miles (50 km) north-east of Nottingham.
