Milton of Larg Farm lies approx. 1 mile southwest of the village of New Luce. The village benefits from a village store, hotel/public house, village hall and children’s playpark. General Description
Milton of Larg Farm is situated in the picturesque New Luce valley in the heart of the county of Wigtownshire and extends to approximately 173.53Ha (428.79 acres).

Historically the farm was farmed as a dairy unit until the late 1990’s, then changing to a beef/sheep unit being farmed with a beef suckler herd of approximately 120 cows with over wintered sheep. The land is divided into good size field parcels of manageable area with good access. The land provides a range of soil types being over 50% total area Grade 3.2 and 4.1 with the balance being Grade 5 and 6. All the land is currently down to grass with in-bye fields having been rotated in the past. It is considered that the farm has been farmed with careful management and considered to be in excellent heart.

The 5-bedroom farmhouse is situated slightly northwest of the principal steading and offers the opportunity of a wonderful family home. Accommodation briefly comprises kitchen, two reception rooms, office, utility, boot room, shower room and w.c. to the ground floor with five bedrooms, box room and family bathroom to the first floor. Tenancy Detail
It is proposed the current secure Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Act 1991 tenancy will be assigned to the successful purchaser. The current rent is £11,500 and was agreed in 2022. The rent is payable half yearly in arrears.
