Lot A – 16.04 Acres - Lot A is set on the western edge of the village and known as ‘Tree Field’. It comprises a single parcel of level arable capable land, currently in a temporary grass ley. The land extends to approximately 16.04 acres (6.49 hectares) in total and is classified as Grade 3 on the Agricultural Land Classification Maps. The soil is recorded as partly freely draining lime-rich loamy soils and seasonally wet slightly acid but base-rich loamy and clayey soils. The land is enclosed by mature hedgerow boundaries on the eastern, southern and western boundaries, whilst the northern boundary adjoins the lane. The southwestern strip of land includes a former railway line. The land can be accessed from the northern boundary directly from the lane.
