The site is located relatively centrally within Castle Gresley which is circa 1.75 miles of Swadlincote in South Derbyshire.

Further amenities including a Railway Station are located within Burton Upon Trent which adjoins Swadlincote. This station provides regular services to Derby, Birmingham and London.
