Directions

From Penrith, take the A66 heading westbound until reaching the turning for Mungrisdale. Turn right up the valley and proceed along the main valley road for approximately 3 ½ miles until you reach the hamlet of Mosedale. In Mosedale, take the first turning to the left signposted Swineside. Proceed along this road for approximately of a mile and Lot 1 is located on your left hand side. Continue up the valley for a further ½ a mile with Lot 2 being located on your left hand side.

The Land - Lot 1

Lot 1 comprises a single parcel of permanent pasture land which benefits from access from the road and a natural water supply. The land on its northern most boundary is relatively flat in topography with the land falling away steeply to the west and south.

The land is boundered in the main by drystone walls with post and wire fences along the beck edge and the land lies between 230 metres and 240 metres above mean sea level, falls within the Severely Disadvantaged Area and is classified as Grade 4 and Grade 5 under the former MAFF Land Classification System.

The land benefits from a natural water supply via a gutter running across the western portion of the land.

The Land - Lot 2

Lot 2 of the land at Swineside extends to approximately 16.74 acres (6.77 hectares) or thereabouts and comprises four parcels of permanent pasture land together with a small area of mainly coniferous woodland. The land is boundered by drystone walls, benefits from access from the road and has a natural water supply.

The land is generally flat in topography and lies at approximately 240 metres above mean sea level. The land falls within the Severely Disadvantaged Area and is classified as Grade 4 and Grade 5 under the former MAFF Land Classification System.
