Description

Once a traditional milking parlour and cattle shed, this beautifully restored barn has been transformed into a stunning home that blends original character with modern comfort. Exposed beams, soaring ceilings, and carefully preserved features tell the story of its past, while high-spec finishes create a truly unique living space.

The front offers generous parking, pretty raised beds with seasonal flowers, shrubs and useful storage area.

On entry you are immediately wowed, the hallway is inviting and tastefully presented, this leads into a generous open-plan living space with height and light. The thoughtfully designed kitchen with electric range and induction hob flows seamlessly into the dining and living areas, combining practicality with understated elegance. Natural materials, warm tones, and carefully considered finishes enhance the barn’s original features, while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. At the heart of the home, a striking exposed brick wall adds texture and character, creating a warm, authentic backdrop that celebrates the building’s heritage. A stylish Stovax wood-burning stove takes centre stage, offering a cosy focal point for relaxing evenings and bringing a sense of comfort throughout the space. Bifold doors open out to the beautifully designed modern garden offering clean lines and a sense of understated elegance. Thoughtfully landscaped with a mix of structured planting, defined zones, and contemporary materials, the space is both low-maintenance and highly functional—perfect for outdoor dining, relaxing, and entertaining.

From the hall is a utility space with space for a washer, dryer and there is a cloakroom. As you walk through the hallway a delightful picture window frames views of the garden beyond, flooding the interior with natural light and creating a seamless connection between indoors and out. This feature not only enhances the sense of space but also invites the changing seasons into everyday life. A doorway from the hall leads into a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, another connecting door leads you into a second living space with compact kitchen and dining/living area with wood burning stove. The principal bedroom comes with a charming clawfoot bath—perfect for a long soak and unwinding at the end of the day, also with modern spearate shower room. Patio doors open out to the pretty garden with seating areas. The second double has a large dressing area and ensuite shower room. A useful study offers an inspiring space for home working.

Beyond the parking a gate leads in to a garden area which includes a greenhouse and kitchen garden with raised vegetable/fruit beds including strawberry, apple trees, gooseberry and raspberry bushes. There is further parking at the back of The Barn.

A perfect countryside retreat which would suit professionals, downsizers or retirees.
